SS2: Caliente Sisters

Going to do a soft dive into playing as the Caliente Sisters. Learning a bit more about them, and doing a little bit of gameplay.

Nina wants to woohoo, and Dina wants money. That’s my understanding from this anyway. There also used to be something on the balcony on the second floor. Interesting.

Okay, what?

1- Where is Katrina? Is she meant to be Nighat Caliente? The Calientes are aliens? What the what? And Dina married and… killed? Bella Goth’s brother??

I’m looking from Dina’s point of view at the moment and going to try to piece together what is going on with the memories.

Her dad, Flamenco, potty-trained her. Her mom Nighat taught her to walk and talk. Nothing much interesting happened until she was a teen where she met a mystery sim and then her mother died. Was the mystery sim, Grim?

Dina has about the same, except her mom potty-trained her and her dad taught her to walk and talk. She grew up into a child, met a mystery sim, and then Nighat died. Once again, I’m wondering if this mystery sim was Grim.

She then grew up to a teen than young adult, met and made best friends with Don and has her first kiss with Don. Grew up badly than grew up good…

Making her an elder??? She’s clearly not an elder. Why are there so many age ups? What’s going on? She fell in love with Don, then her dad died. Is she taking potions or something to go back a life stage?

Okay switching back to Nina, she has two more aged up wells that puts her as an adult…?!?! Then she met and made best friends with Michael and had her first kiss with him.

Then had a positive, grew up badly. And a grew up good, making her well past elder and confusing the heck out of me. Then she fell in love with Michael and her dad then died. Okay…? My brain is exploding, I’m so confused.

She got engaged to and married Michael, then had her first woohoo with him. Met Don and kissed him, having an affair. I think this picture is of them getting married, and that’s her sister in the back. But I’m not sure who the others are. And would Bella’s brother really have been an elder? What am I actually looking at here?

A BURGLAR BROKE IN AND HER HUSBAND DIED?!?!

Why does it seem like it was an arranged killing because she is a gold digger and is after money and just had an affair with Don. Because she then inherited Michaels money, except a repoman took stuff.

She made a Bff, doesn’t say who. Don maybe?

Made out with Don and fell in love with him, having two loves at once…. Does her husband count even though he’s dead? Oh. Nope. Because she has just had her first kiss with Mortimer. Looks like Don didn’t have enough money to interest her, at least for marriage.

Okay, back to Nina, right after her dad died. Dina got engaged and married… To…?? Is it the guy with brown hair in the other picture who has mysteriously disappeared?

She got a job and then got fired from the job.  Had a burglar come in and steal stuff which Michael died during, so clearly she and Dina were living together still. The repo man came. So confirmed, they were for sure living together.

She had her first woohoo with Don. Made a BFF and than met Vyn, Bruce, and Cassandra. I have so many questions. I’m not even sure where to start, and I haven’t even done a deep dive into their personalities yet, just their memories.

I’m going into game though to get a little of actual playtime in. I can upgrade the outside of these houses right? So they’re not all just white boxes? I hope so.

I get a notification though, that Dina needs to be assertive and propose to Mortimer because he’s not going to do it himself. Which he won’t, because he just started being interested in someone else, Vyn, and they are attracted to each other and could end up as dating. So if Dina wants to lock down that marriage to a rich guy, she has to do it right now.

She proposed, and I experienced an absolutely wild cutscene, then she took him inside and cuddled him on the couch, getting him super interested and riled up.

He was starting to get a girlfriend, she can’t have that. She wants his money. Locking that down right now. She can still get easily dumped as just a fiancé. She convinces him to elope right there with her. To make sure that they’re going to be together, and she can get his money. It’s entirely about the money.

Got her money and now she doesn’t care. She stops paying attention to him and watches some tv as Nina picks up the newspaper and starts flipping through it. Dina hasn’t noticed what is happening yet.

“Bye Nina, I hope you’ve found a wonderful house.”

“Wait what, you’re leaving?”

Smelly way to go. But yes, Nina is leaving, as she drives away Mortimer and Dina settle in to their new life.

Buying lots of things.

She wanted a new TV, a new stove, a gaming system, a new radio, a microwave. She kept listing things that she would love to update. Mortimer was happy to appease his new wife, he just also wanted to add a telescope on the roof to that list. For no reason… definitely not to look for Bella in the sky. He then went and made them dinner which while they ate, they talked about magic lamps??

What does that even mean in this? Does she want to go on a vacation to… ? Whatever place has magic lamps? Because I know she was wishing for a vacation.

They’re up still talking about this vacation, and a burglar comes in. I try to have Mortimer call the cops, but he’s just sitting there screaming in terror and won’t go to the phone. and Dina is just crying about the loss of her brand new TV.

The cops finally show up with a warning to be careful because Burglar’s can be deadly.

They can? Is that actually how Dina’s first husband died? Was my guess correct?

The burglar runs out, basically waves at the cop, and disappears into the distance, while the cop runs in the other direction to search the house.

SOoooOOooooooo useful.

I redecorated the bathroom… I think it looks good. I was trying to figure out all the different tools in this version of the sims. I’m not great at it yet, and it’s wild not being able to resize things or move them up and down, or place them where I want to.

A FIRE?!? From a lightning strike! The trees can catch on fire? The rain put it out, but what is going on with this game!

Oh look, Nina’s taxi is coming back. It drove around town and than returned.

Since, tehee, she moved in next door to Don’s old house. She of course called Don right away to invite him over to see what she had done with the place.

I was not expecting a Welcome Wagon.

She mostly ignored them and did a bunch of things with Don; cuddling, playing ball, kissing.

She did end up ordering pizza for everyone, at least.
